The Office Assistant 1 (OA1) will work in the Office of Human Resource Management and serve as the receptionist. The OA1 will provide clerical and data entry support. This position requires strong communication and computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. The OA1 must have the ability to function with minimal supervision. This position requires organization and attention to detail.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Assisting office visitors o Type correspondences and maintain a variety of tracking spreadsheets o Complete purchase orders and maintain office equipment and supplies, o Photocopy and fax documents as needed, routine correspondence, wage verifications and reports o Making/receiving a high volume of phone calls and taking messages o Receiving a high volume of e-mails and sending appropriate replies o Responding to and tracking Employee Verification forms o Handling all aspects of the mail; Certified and daily mail o Conference room scheduling o Schedule and track repair orders for all copiers o Contacting candidates to schedule interviews o Obtain additional documentation or follow-up as needed o Reviewing on a daily basis the shared OHRM Staffing mailbox and printing out responses, placing in posting files o Filing o Preparation of onboarding packets and candidate folders o Provide assistance preparing for and at recruitment events o Other duties as assigned

Salary Range:
From $35665 to $43764 Annually

Permanent/Provisional Permanent
Qualifications:
Candidates must currently be a permanent Office Assistant 1 OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list Transfer
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Provisional Candidates:
There are no minimum education or experience requirements for these examinations.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
