POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Office Assistant 1 (OA1) will work in the OHRM providing providing clerical and data entry support for the Labor Relations Team. This position requires strong communication and computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. The OA1 must have the ability to function with minimal supervision. This position requires organization and attention to detail.

o Answering phones and directing calls o Scheduling interviews o Typing correspondence o Utilizing and maintenance of various tracking spreadsheets as needed o Filing o Other duties as assigned

Salary Range:
From $34670 to $42531 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Permanent/Provisional Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of statutory hiring rate for ($33,157) and Mid-Hudson Adjustment ($1,513). The Mid-Hudson Adjustment ($1,513) is also added to job rate ($41,018). Pending Budget Approval Permanent
Qualifications:
Candidates must currently be a permanent Office Assistant 1 OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list Transfer
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
