POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Program Aide will be assigned to the Human Resources Department and will provide support to all levels of staff for new employee background checks, and support for Labor Relations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include but are not limited to:
o Review and check MHL records for all new employee candidates and provide results to the appropriate HR Specialist o Track/Run Driver's licenses o Maintain the CBC (Criminal Background Checks) with all new employees and any departing employees, periodically run reports to 'clean up' the system o Enter evaluation date information into TIMES o Track/Send Annual Performance Evaluation reminders daily and log into TIMES o Complete DHS (Discipline History Summary) for OHRM, ERO, OIIA and JC and upload to the appropriate places o Advertise for recruitment (maintain database for Trumpia, ZipRecruiter and Indeed), o Research advertising opportunities o Request all updates from HR Spec 1's & 2's for recruitment updates o Maintain and distribute agenda for bi-weekly recruitment meetings o Track all professional licensures (send monthly memo to all due as well as follow-up if needed) o Complete requests from the Dept. of Labor and submit requested back-up information as needed o Post vacancies on StateJobsNY (GOER) and Indeed o Send out clearance letters for all new employees as well as all ETP Client Interns o Submit all work orders for OHRM o Performs additional duties as requested. NOTE:
You must have a valid driver's license to apply as travel is a part of the duties involved in this position. This may include a state-owned vehicle, as available, or the employee's own car. An employee who uses his/her own car will be reimbursed at current negotiated rates.

Salary Range:
From $48496 to $58744 Annually

Qualifications:
Candidates must currently be a permanent Program Aide OR be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list Transfer
Qualifications:
Candidates must be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Provisional
Qualifications:
Candidates must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a G-5 or higher clerical, secretarial, keyboarding or paraprofessional title set in an office environment. Qualifying titles are available Only paraprofessional titles in an office environment will be considered qualifying. Service in a direct care title is not qualifying experience. Examples of non-qualifying titles are:
Developmental Disabilities Secure Care Treatment Aide 1; Direct Support Assistant; Food Service Worker 1; Licensed Practical Nurse; Mental Health Therapy Aide; and Security Services Assistant.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
